Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Gateway to Your Safari Experience
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our professional driver will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha, a vibrant town often referred to as “A-Town” by locals. Nestled at the base of Mount Meru—Africa’s fifth highest peak—Arusha enjoys a refreshingly mild climate and a lush, green setting thanks to its elevation. Although not considered a highlight on its own, Arusha is a convenient and essential starting point for most northern circuit safaris. Once checked into Arusha Planet Lodge, you'll have the opportunity to unwind, settle in, and gear up for the extraordinary journey ahead.
Main Destination: Arusha (City)
Accommodation: Arusha Planet Lodge (Mid-range lodge in Arusha City)
Meals & Drinks: Lunch and dinner included; breakfast not included; drinking water provided (other drinks excluded)
Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up for the journey to Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-hour drive from Arusha. Known for its majestic baobab trees and massive elephant herds, Tarangire’s ecosystem thrives around the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts a multitude of animals, especially during the dry season. Keep an eye out for giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, bushbucks, and hartebeests, along with predators like lions and leopards that stalk these herds. The open-roof safari vehicle offers fantastic views of the landscape and wildlife. After your game drive, you’ll continue to the charming Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.
Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge (Mid-range lodge in Karatu Town)
Meals & Drinks: All meals included; drinks excluding spirits/liquor
Day 3 – Central Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands
Following breakfast, we head north through the scenic highlands where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and maize. Our journey takes us through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering stunning views of the famous crater before we enter the iconic Serengeti National Park.
Covering roughly 15,000 square kilometers, the Serengeti’s vast plains, acacia woodlands, swamps, and rocky outcrops support one of the greatest wildlife populations on Earth. As we explore the Central Serengeti, we’ll have the chance to encounter abundant wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of zebras and wildebeests. By evening, we’ll arrive at your tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay in the wilderness.

Meals & Drinks: All meals included; drinks excluding spirits/liquor
Day 4 – Northern Serengeti & Great Migration
After an early breakfast, you’ll spend the entire day immersed in the Serengeti’s northern region, known for hosting the dramatic Mara River crossing during the dry season. Your guide will navigate the park's key locations based on the current movements of the Great Wildebeest Migration—a spectacle involving over a million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles as they chase fresh pastures and water sources.
If your visit falls between July and September, there’s a strong possibility of witnessing the perilous crossing of the Mara River, where predators like crocodiles await. After this exhilarating day, you’ll retire to Tanzania Bush Camps in the Mara region for dinner and a restful overnight.

Begin your morning with a final game drive in the Serengeti, offering another opportunity to spot members of the legendary Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhinoceros. From there, we gradually make our way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This region’s open landscapes allow for unbroken wildlife sightings, and you may spot animals freely roaming as we drive through the unfenced plains.
Upon arrival at the crater rim, you'll take in breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater below—a verdant paradise teeming with wildlife. Tonight, you’ll rest at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge in the crater highlands, where you can enjoy a peaceful sunset and prepare for the next day’s descent into the crater.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Into the World’s Largest Intact Caldera
Rise early for breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s Eden. This ancient volcanic caldera hosts some of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, including rare black rhinos and a large population of predators. As you explore the crater floor, you’ll encounter a diversity of habitats—lakes, forests, and open plains—each home to its own array of animals and birds, including flamingos and hippos. After a picnic lunch amidst this stunning landscape, you’ll ascend from the crater and drive to Mto wa Mbu village. Here, you’ll enjoy a cultural walking tour, visit banana plantations, and taste traditional local foods before heading back to Farm of Dreams Lodge for the night.

The soda lake at its center attracts thousands of flamingos and is surrounded by groundwater forests, open grasslands, and dramatic escarpments. The park is home to elephants, hippos, giraffes, and, uniquely, tree-climbing lions. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded here, making it a birder’s paradise.
